Hattie

‘Hattie Williams writes so honestly on love and loss that it hurts’

- ABIGAIL DEAN

Hattie Williams is a novelist, screenwriter and journalist based in East London. She left education in her teens to pursue a career as a musician. She has toured Europe extensively, made three studio albums, and worked as a composer with her tracks still regularly featured on TV and streaming services across the world. In her mid-twenties she found herself working in publishing quite by accident, and an admin temping job turned into a twelve-year career in which she worked with some of the biggest authors in the world. She is the former producer of the Iceland Noir Literary Festival.

Hattie’s debut novel, BITTER SWEET, was bought in a six-figure deal by Orion Fiction and in the US, Bantam Dell (Penguin Random House). The book was published worldwide in July 2025.

The book will be published in Germany (Ullstein) Italy (Newton Compton) and Spain (Urano), with further deals in Hungary, Ukraine, Serbia, Romania, Croatia, Czechia and Portugal.

Hattie’s second novel, BEGINNING. MIDDLE. END. will follow.

Thrilled to share the UK and US covers for Bitter Sweet - both editions publishing July 2025
